Once upon a time

Octotrip was founded by Jens and Jappe back in 2013. Fascinated by travel hacking, the two teenagers started a Facebook page to collect and share the hidden gems of the travel industry. No revenue model, just genuinely trying to make the world a better place. A few months later, the first concept of Octotrip was drafted.

Without having a garage, the belief to become the next big thing was there. Even more so, to bootstrap the idea and MVP phase, the two shared the bed for almost two years. With 1000 dollars left, Jens and Jappe left for Singapore to raise investments to fund the development of Octotrip.

Octotrip finally brings business travelers the convenience they need. We brought vision and craftsmanship together, in one simple but beautifully designed application.

What we believe in

We’re creating something for our customers, for our target market. We founded Octotrip with the pure belief the travel industry is broken. It’s astonishing to see the second biggest market worldwide, being years behind on other sectors. If nobody wants to tackle it, good for us, because we will.

We’ll always strive to keep on delivering quality services in the coming years. The travel market has been behind for decades, with big corporates taking bigger cuts of trips, instead of providing more service. Octotrip is dedicated to turn this around and make the travel industry great again. So great.
